T.M. Cobb is your stocking partner, so working capital stays focused on growth — not warehouse inventory.

Simplify Openings

One opening

Combine your door and Timely frame orders on one PO, one ship date, with less coordination risk on every project.

Two Stocked Lines, One Program

Two stocked lines under one program — architectural veneer doors for spec-driven work and commercial doors built for high-traffic openings.
Both pulled from our inventory, not yours.

Architectural Doors
Spec-Driven & Client-Facing

Real wood veneer faces where the door is part of the design intent — architect submittals, high-end residential, and finished public spaces.

Commercial Doors
Durability & Code First

Openings judged on rating, abuse resistance and schedule rather than appearance — corridors, back-of-house, stairwells and repeat multifamily units.

Who is this program built for

The stocking list is weighted toward the openings that repeat most often in our region's bid work.

Commercial Contract Dealers

Schools, medical, offices and municipal work where rated openings and submittal turnaround decide the job.

*Typically 20-min. and 90-min. labeled, Birch or Primed.

Multifamily & Mixed Use

Repeat unit-entry and corridor openings across a phased building where the same handful of SKU's recur hundreds of times.

*Typically 3/0 x 7/0, 20-min. labeled, Timely-prepped.

Tenant Improvement & Rennovation

Fast-turn interior work where the schedule was already compressed before the doors were ordered.

*Typically single opeings pulled from stock same week.

High-End Residential

Custom homes wanting real wood veneer doors at heights that made-to-order lead times keep pushing out.

*Typically Rift-cut White Oak or Plain Sliced Red Oak, 8/0 and 9/0 tall.

How the Program Works

01
Stocked core configurations

Common sizes, cores and configurations kept in stock specifically for commercial and residential demand.

02
Ready to pull when you are

Quote from our inventory with reliable lead times, and place orders as you win projects - no need to tie up your warehouse space.

03
Order at any scale

One-off jobs or recurring multifamily and commercial packages - no restocking risk.

04
Total - opening support

Support for total openings, not just doors-only orders, creates less friction and fewer moving parts across each project.

05
Regional strength

Backed by manufacturing and distribution alignment across the region.

Five Stocked Faces

The cut determines the grain pattern as much as the species does.

What "Total Opening" Means Here

A door on a truck isn’t an installed opening. The stocking program is built so the pieces that have to arrive together actually do — on one PO, one ship date, from one source of accountability.

That removes the most common field delay on architectural work: a door that’s ready and a frame that isn’t, or prep that doesn’t match the hardware that showed up.

Door Slab

Stocked species, core and rating; prefit to Timely or beveled two sides; unfinished or clear finished.

Timely Frame

345 or 445-161 series knock-down Black or Alumatone steel frame, matched to the labeled assembly.

Machining & Prep

Hinge and strike prep cut to your hardware schedule so nothing gets fielded.

One PO, One Date

Door and frame quoted, released and shipped as a single line of accountability.

One Point of Contact

Your T.M. Cobb rep owns the opening end to end — no handoff between vendors mid-project.

Understanding the Ratings

Which stocked door belongs in which opening — and what the label on it actually covers.
20-Minute Stamp
Particleboard Core

The workhorse of the stocking list. Corridor, unit-entry and most interior rated openings in multifamily and light commercial.

A stamp is not a label — verify which one your door schedule calls for before you quote.

20-Minute Label
Particleboard Core
TIMELY 345/445-161

Same rating, delivered as a labeled assembly with the Timely frame — the version most commercial submittals require.

Ships door-and-frame together so the labeled assembly stays intact.

90-Minute Stamp
60–90-Min. Mineral Core

Stair enclosures, exit passageways and occupancy separations where the assembly has to hold longer.

Stocked in Birch and UV primed hardboard only, 7/0 and 8/0 tall.

Always confirm rating requirements against the approved door schedule and your local AHJ.

Stamped and labeled product is not interchangeable — ask your rep before substituting.

The Frame

Timely Prefinished Steel Frames

A coordinated stock program matched to the Haley Bros. door. Doors arrive prefit to Timely, so the assembly goes together the way it was quoted.

Program Questions, Answered

Do I have to commit to inventory or a minimum purchase to join?

No. The point of the program is that T.M. Cobb holds the stock. You set up a pricing tier and a stock list with your rep, then release against it as you win work — there is no shelf commitment on your side.

What actually drives the 3–5 day lead time?

Stocked, unmodified configurations pulled straight from inventory. Adding machining, a special finish, or a non-stock size moves the order onto a production schedule — your rep will tell you which side of that line your opening falls on when quoting.

What does "prefit to Timely" mean for my order?

The stocked doors are already sized and prepped to hang in the matching Timely frame, so door and frame arrive as a coordinated pair. If your hardware schedule calls for something different, book-to-prep is available against other specifications.

Can I order stocked doors without the Timely frame?

Yes, doors-only orders are available. But if the opening needs a labeled 20-minute assembly, the door and frame have to be quoted and shipped as a matched set for the label to apply.

When do I need mineral core instead of particleboard?

Particleboard core covers non-rated and 20-minute openings. Fire-rated doors at 60 and 90 minutes require mineral core — those are stocked in Rotary Uniform Light Birch and UV Primed Hardboard, 7/0 and 8/0 tall.

Can I get vision lites or louvers in a stocked door?

Vision lites and metal louvers are available in this program. On labeled doors the cutout has to be coordinated with the rating, so bring those openings to your rep rather than assuming a stock pull.

What if my project needs a size or species that is not stocked?

It goes made-to-order through the same rep and the same PO. Many dealers run a hybrid: stocked SKUs for the repeating openings, made-to-order for the outliers, quoted together.

Are the unfinished doors ready to finish in my shop?

They ship unfinished and beveled two sides, ready for your finishing process. Clear-finished stock is also available in select species if you would rather skip that step entirely.

How does pricing work compared to a made-to-order quote?

Program pricing is set by tier when you set up your stock list, so your estimator quotes from a known number instead of waiting on a job-specific price. Your rep can walk through where the stocked SKUs land against comparable made-to-order pricing.

What does a corner sample actually show me?

A physical corner cut of the real door: veneer species and cut, grain match, edge bevel, and finish if applicable. It is what to put in front of an architect or homeowner rather than a printed swatch.
