Corridor, unit-entry and most interior rated openings in multifamily and light commercial. A stamp is not a label — verify which one your door schedule calls for before you quote. ###### 20-Minute Label ###### Particleboard Core TIMELY 345/445-161 Same rating, delivered as a labeled assembly with the Timely frame — the version most commercial submittals require. Ships door-and-frame together so the labeled assembly stays intact. ###### 90-Minute Stamp ###### 60–90-Min. No. The point of the program is that T.M. Cobb holds the stock. You set up a pricing tier and a stock list with your rep, then release against it as you win work — there is no shelf commitment on your side. What actually drives the 3–5 day lead time? Stocked, unmodified configurations pulled straight from inventory. Adding machining, a special finish, or a non-stock size moves the order onto a production schedule — your rep will tell you which side of that line your opening falls on when quoting. What does "prefit to Timely" mean for my order? The stocked doors are already sized and prepped to hang in the matching Timely frame, so door and frame arrive as a coordinated pair. If your hardware schedule calls for something different, book-to-prep is available against other specifications. Can I order stocked doors without the Timely frame? Yes, doors-only orders are available. But if the opening needs a labeled 20-minute assembly, the door and frame have to be quoted and shipped as a matched set for the label to apply. When do I need mineral core instead of particleboard? Particleboard core covers non-rated and 20-minute openings. Fire-rated doors at 60 and 90 minutes require mineral core — those are stocked in Rotary Uniform Light Birch and UV Primed Hardboard, 7/0 and 8/0 tall. Can I get vision lites or louvers in a stocked door? Vision lites and metal louvers are available in this program. On labeled doors the cutout has to be coordinated with the rating, so bring those openings to your rep rather than assuming a stock pull. What if my project needs a size or species that is not stocked? It goes made-to-order through the same rep and the same PO. Many dealers run a hybrid: stocked SKUs for the repeating openings, made-to-order for the outliers, quoted together. Are the unfinished doors ready to finish in my shop? They ship unfinished and beveled two sides, ready for your finishing process. Clear-finished stock is also available in select species if you would rather skip that step entirely. How does pricing work compared to a made-to-order quote? Program pricing is set by tier when you set up your stock list, so your estimator quotes from a known number instead of waiting on a job-specific price. Your rep can walk through where the stocked SKUs land against comparable made-to-order pricing. What does a corner sample actually show me? A physical corner cut of the real door: veneer species and cut, grain match, edge bevel, and finish if applicable. Cobb manufactured stile and rail doors shall be free of defects which render such door(s) unserviceable or unfit for ordinary recommended use. **Persons Covered by Limited One-Year Warranty.** TM. Cobb extends its Limited One-Year Warranty only to the persons or companies to whom it has sold its doors. Warranties made by T.M. Cobb customers to subsequent purchasers cannot be honored by T.M. Cobb. **Characteristics Excluded from these Warranties.** The following are not defects in the workmanship or material and are not covered by this written warranty: 1. Warp in stile and rail doors less than one-quarter inch (1/4”) in the plane of the door itself, and any warp in stile and rail doors over 3’0” wide or 7’0” high. 2. Damage caused by failure to comply with the care and handling instructions printed on page 87 of this brochure. 3. Damage caused by attempts to repair the door by persons other than T.M. Cobb or its approved representatives. 4. Natural variations in the color or texture of the wood. 5. Defects caused by warp or bow of the frame or jamb in which the door is hung, improper hanging of the door or improper installation such that the door does not swing freely. 6. Damage caused by improper handling or on site storage. 7. Panel misalignment or shrinkage. 8. Cracks or splits in split resistent panels which do not appear on both sides of the panel. 9. Failure to follow the finishing instructions. 10. Gap allowance at stile and rail joints that is .007” x 15% of joint length or less. 11. Swing out doors with high exposure or less than 3 feet overhang 12 inches above the door. 12. Limited Overhang. **What TM. Cobb Will Do.** In the event that a T.M. Cobb manufactured stile and rail door fails to conform to this warranty, T.M. Cobb will repair the door or, at its option, ship a replacement to its customer in the same condition of fit and finish as the door originally sold by T.M. Cobb. If T.M. Cobb is unable to replace the door and if repair is not commercially practicable, T.M. Cobb may reimburse the dealer’s purchase price of the defective door. If the claimed defect is warp, TM. Cobb may defer repairing or replacing the door for a period of up to twelve (12) months from the date of claim or the date when the door was installed, in order to permit conditioning and equalizing to humidity and temperature conditions. The company cannot under any circumstances be responsible for installation, repainting, refinishing or other similar activities necessary to complete the replacement or any cost associated with the resolve. **Glass.** Doors with insulated glass are warranted against hermetic seal failure for a period of five years from date of manufacture. Should there be a failure of the air seal within the warranty period, the company shall supply either the insulated glass only or the insulated glass in sash at the company’s option. If hermetic seal failure is caused by the use of cleaning solutions that contains chemicals that attack our sealant or if lap painting was not conducted, no warranty shall be in effect. The company cannot under any circumstances be responsible for installation, repainting, refinishing or other similar activities necessary to complete the replacement or any cost associated with the resolve. The company will furnish the insulated glass only free of charge, F.O.B. the original point of delivery. Cracked or broken glass is not covered by the warranty. Decorative glass that is hand crafted may vary from one lite to another and contain variations in color, size, glass clarity and welded joints may differ. These are not defects. Tempered glass contains varying degrees of distortions. These distortions may effect view and are not considered a defect. All glass should be cleaned with mild soap & water only. We use a special process know as Accugrain. Accugrain is a door casing process that uses multiple dies to product different graining types to cast the appearance of real wood into our fiberglass doors. At a high-level, the process starts with building a wood door using select pieces of wood that have the graining and wood characteristics we want to reproduce. They then enhance the wood door using proprietary technology to enhance the natural graining depth on the wood before casing. Then, with the graining technology, the final product undergoes multiple casting. The heartwood of cherry varies from rich red to reddish brown and will darken with age and on exposure to light. The wood has a fine uniform, straight-grain, satiny, smooth texture, and may naturally contain brown pith flecks and small gum pockets. Cobb") ### Fir ### Douglas Fir Douglas Fir grows throughout Western forests with the most abundant region being in coastal climates of Oregon, Washington and northern California. Fir’s light rosy color is set off by its remarkably straight and handsome grain pattern. Sap wood is white to pale yellow; heartwood is russet with high contrast between the springwood and summerwood. Cobb") ### Hickory ### Hickory In Eastern North America, hickory survived the catastrophic changes of the Glacial Epoch, some 50 million years ago. Thus, it is the first strictly American hardwood species. Hickory is the hardest, heaviest and strongest American wood. The sapwood of hickory is white, tinged with inconspicuous fine brown lines while the heartwood is pale to reddish brown. Both are coarse-textured and the grain is fine, usually straight but can be wavy or irregular. The wood can be sanded to a good finish. Sap wood is nearly white to pale yellow, heartwood is light to reddish brown. Clear finishes with UV blockers can help retain its freshly-milled color. It has a pleasent pine scent and is slightly resinous. Knotty Pine contains knots that foster the log home look. The wood is similiar in general appearance to white oak, but with a slightly less pronounced figure due to the smaller rays. The wood is mostly straight-grained, with a coarse texture. The wood is generally straight-grained, but sometimes with wavy or curly grain that produces an attractive decorative figure. This species produces a greater variety of figure types than any other. Cobb") Born and raised in Oklahoma, Troy “Ty” Cobb brought his Mid-American values and Midwestern work ethic with him when he moved to California at the age of 22. After working for a time at a tire factory, Cobb joined Mox Lumber Company and quickly became the head of the Sash and Door Department. From there, he moved on to the Red River Lumber Company’s Sash and Door department. Piloting his Model A Ford, Ty served dealers from Los Angeles through San Diego and into Arizona. In 1935, Ty took his hard-earned life savings of $5,000 and started his own business, T.M. Cobb, at 5800 S. Central Avenue in Los Angeles. The company was founded on the same principle upon which Ty had based his entire career: a dedication to quality, service and personal integrity. A hard working and frugal man, Ty earned the respect of both his customers and employees. He spent his entire adult life building T.M. Cobb from the ground up, overseeing the company’s incredible growth and expansion over the next three decades. Ty passed away in 1970, but the company continues to build upon the foundation he established. Since 1970, T.M. Cobb has expanded its facilities to allow for total coverage throughout California and the neighboring states. Owned and operated by second, third and fourth generation Cobb family members. T.M.
